General information
Claude Dornier’s accomplishments as an engineer and entrepreneur are certainly impressive, but his greatness cannot be measured in these terms alone. Perhaps his most important legacy is the example he set as a bold visionary who dared to think outside the box and venture into new terrain – a man infused with the spirit of discovery without which no scientific progress would be possible.
The Dornier Museum is dedicated to upholding both aspects of this legacy. In addition to preserving and documenting the Dornier company’s achievements, it brings 100 years of exciting aviation and aerospace history to life with unusual exhibits and displays in a striking architectural setting, as well as organising special guided tours and hosting a wide range of events that are mentally stimulating, inspiring and enlightening.
