Until 1964 he was its brand IMOSA that Auto Union manufactured under license, called the DKW in its factory in Vitoria. The year 1972 became the headquarters of MEVOSA, a company jointly distributed brands Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen, while continuing with the manufacture of the DKW.
