The Roda Roda – Lleida Automotive Museum presents an extensive collection of cars, motorcycles, motors and scale reproductions that invite us on a journey through the world of the automotive industry through history. In 1954, the needs of fuel supply in the province of Lleida and also agricultural and industrial sector were growing that the employer Eduardo García Velasco, it was decided to construct a building that was able to accommodate the growing CAMPSA truck fleet, which did get fuel at service stations across the province. Later transferred to the estate Segre. Since then, the building was dedicated exclusively to the sale and repair of cars and vans Industrial and become the seat of DKW dealer, manufacturer of the popular trucks that mark.
Until 1964 he was its brand IMOSA that Auto Union manufactured under license, called the DKW in its factory in Vitoria. The year 1972 became the headquarters of MEVOSA, a company jointly distributed brands Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen, while continuing with the manufacture of the DKW. Finally became official Mercedes Benz dealer for the province of Lleida. In 1970, the City of Lleida Eduardo Velasco gave the name of one of the streets surrounding the property.
Finally, in 1992, the building was no activity in Mercedes Benz moved to new facilities on the outskirts of the city. The building became part of the municipal heritage in 1997 and was converted into the current museum Roda Roda.
